Sep 26, 2021

BRIDGTON – With five holes to play in the 2021 Four-Ball Championship, the tournament was still up in the air, with four teams tied at -8. The overnight leaders, Brian Bilodeau and Jace Pearson (Martindale CC), rallied late with birdies on 15, 16 and 17 to regain their early lead to close out the event and win by one stroke with a score of 64-70--134 (-10).

Despite a slow start being two over through five holes, the duo rallied on the front with two birdies to make the turn at even par on the day. They made three late birdies down the stretch to hold off their playing partners Mike O’Brien (Biddeford-Saco CC) and Ashley Fifield (Martindale CC). In the end, the score of -10 won by one shot over Fifield and O’Brien and Phil Barter (Brunswick GC) and Tim Desmarais (Deep Brook GC).

In a tie for fourth place at -8 were the teams of Jay Plourd and Marc Siewersten (Riverside GC), Ryan Low (Augusta CC) and Mark Wallace (Northport GC), and Joe Baker (Norway CC) and Mike Doran (Brunswick GC).
