Maine Amateur Qualifying Begins This Week
The MSGA Championship season continues tomorrow, with the first of three qualifying tournaments for the 2021 Maine Amateur Championship at Kebo Valley in Bar Harbor. This year will mark the 102nd playing of the Amateur, with Kebo slated to host the event on July 13-15 for the eighth time in the club’s storied history.
The Maine Amateur Championship features a field of 132 players competing for the most prestigious title in amateur golf in the Pine Tree State. In all, 54 players are already exempt into the championship, leaving 78 spots available at the three qualifiers slated over the next two weeks. Players looking to earn a spot in the championship proper must get through the qualifying sites at Biddeford-Saco CC (June 10), Fox Ridge GC (June 15), and Bangor Municipal GC (June 17).
