Women's & Girl's Golf Week June 1-5

CUMBERLAND, ME – In recognition of Women’s Golf Week though out New England, the Maine State Golf Association will host several women’s and girl’s events beginning Tuesday, June 1, 2021 through Saturday, June 5, 2021. 

Tuesday, June 1st: The week will begin with two (2) MSGA Member Play Days at Val Halla GC in Cumberland and Hermon Meadows GC in Hermon. The events will be a shotgun start at 9:00 AM and many festivities are planned. They include an honorary tee shot at 8:30 AM, a Susan G. Komen Foundation 50/50 and many on-course games and competitions. Currently, 180 ladies will be participating across both sites.

Wednesday, June 2nd: Kate Merrill of Toddy Brook GC in North Yarmouth will host an “Evening on the Range” from 4:00-6:00 for girls 18 & under.

Thursday, June 3rd: The MSGA will host a Virtual Happy Hour from 5:00 - 6:00 PM with interviews and thoughts from PGA professionals’ Andree Martin, PGA from Portland CC and Meghan Clark, PGA from Wannamoisett CC. Click here to join our Zoom!

Saturday, June 5th: the USGA and PGA will host a Drive Chip & Putt qualifier at Biddeford-Saco CC in Saco. Children ages 7-15 can start their quest to Augusta National in this first stage qualifier. Click here to learn more about Drive Chip & Putt.
