Volunteers Needed for Live+Work in Maine Open

Professional golf will return to Maine this summer, with the Korn Ferry Tour descending on Falmouth CC in June for the Live+Work in Maine Open. The tournament can't happen without the help of volunteers, so now is your chance to help out with this prestigious tournament taking place right here in our backyard this summer.

Volunteer positions available:

AMBASSADORS
Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Assist with greeting guests, admissions and will call.
Handing out pairing sheets and provide general information.

Requirements:
Ability to stand for several hours and interact with crowds.

CORPORATE HOSPITALITY
Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Be present in Corporate Hospitality venues throughout tournament rounds to ensure clients are receiving a true VIP experience.
Act as liaison between corporate clients and tournament staff.

Requirements:
Ideal for volunteer who needs to be out of sun.
*This position requires covid testing or proof of vaccine. Testing provided free by PGA.

MARSHAL
Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Provide gallery control for the Tournament, keeping spectators behind the lines.
Ensure players’ safe and easy access from hole to hole.
Signal the gallery for quiet as players address the ball.
Fairway ball spotting, measuring drives and signaling to avoid balls from being lost.
Great opportunity for groups, golf courses, or friends to be represented on a hole.

Requirements:
Ability to walk short and long distances.
Ability to stand for a period of time.

SCORING CENTRAL
Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Receive and record scores transmitted from on course.
Work with Korn Ferry Tour Staff to verify and report scoring.

Requirements:
General golf knowledge.
Focus for long periods of time.
Light walking and standing.
Ideal for volunteer who needs to sit and/or be out of sun.

SPECIAL EVENTS
April, May, and June

There are several events leading up to tournament week. We are looking for approximately 20 volunteers to assist with various duties during these events. Please see the Drive Fore Kids page for information on volunteering for those events.

TRANSPORTATION
Monday, June 21 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Provide shuttling service for players at various course locations.
Drive inclement weather evacuation vans.
Provide back up to parking shuttles.

Requirements:
Valid driver’s license.

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
Monday, June 21 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Uniform distribution prior to the event.
Check in volunteers and direct to assigned areas.
Maintain volunteer tent.
Provide support staffing if needed during tournament.

Requirements:
Friendly and service-oriented disposition.

WALKING SCORER
Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27. Two shifts available per day.

Responsibilities:
Record the scores and statistics of play on a Cellular Device during competitive rounds.

Requirements:
Golf knowledge and ability to walk 18 holes.
Be comfortable with a handheld tech device.
Must attend the tournament training class or make arrangements to be trained by the Walking Scorer Chairperson.
