ME Women's Senior Championship Underway
A large field of 148 players will compete for the MSGA Women’s Senior Championship at Brunswick GC on September 15. Thirty-eight Maine clubs will be represented, with Natanis fielding the largest contingent of 17 players. The lowest handicap index is 5.3 while the field average is 19.3. The youngest competitor is 51 and the oldest is 81; the average of the entire field is 69.2 years. The 60-64 year old age flight is the largest in the competition with 35 players.
The 2019 Senior Champion, Carrie Langevin, will tee off in the final group against last year's runner-up, Kristin Kannegieser, and other top contenders from previous years. All tournament details can be found on the Senior Championship portal.
