MSGA Statement on the Coronavirus

Mar 18, 2020

The Maine State Golf Association is monitoring the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation very closely as the health, safety, and well-being of our community is our top priority. During these times of such uncertainty, such as the current global pandemic, the MSGA will be guided in decision-making with the information provided by public health and government authorities.

In light of the continued conversations surrounding the fluidity of COVID-19, the MSGA will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis. While we remain open for business at this time, staff will be working remotely when possible, so the best way to reach out to us is to send us an email at

We remain in close communication with our member facilities on how they should operate their businesses in the current climate. We are hosting weekly virtual town hall meetings to discuss what everyone is experiencing out there and sharing ideas.  We will stress best practices and guidelines to both our member clubs and Maine golfers as recommended by those public health and government authorities.

Due to the fact that our first tournament is not scheduled until late April, as of now our tournament schedule remains unaffected. As we near the active season, the MSGA will continue to update the membership on any and all adjustments to schedules and operations through our website and other electronic resources.

Should you have any questions, please email the MSGA at
