Rules of Golf Changes Now in Effect

Jan 1, 2019

Thought it doesn't pertain to those who stay in Maine during the cold winter, The Rules of Golf have undergone an overhaul by the USGA and R&A, and the changes are now in effect today, January 1, 2019. There are a lot of changes this year, from dropping at knee height to putting with the flagstick in, so it's time to make sure that you're educated and ready for these new rules when they go into effect starting today. Here's a summary compiled by the USGA and the R&A.

The USGA and R&A have created some great videos that go over some of the bigger changes and things that everyday players are sure to encounter on the course. We encourage all of our players to peruse these videos to see some of the changes that are in store for 2019.
