B&C Championship at Martindale CC
After a rainy morning and an hour rain delay, the first round of the 2018 B&C Championship is in the books at Martindale CC.
The B&C Championship is open to Maine resident amateurs with a USGA Handicap of 6.6 or higher as of the August 15, 2018 Handicap Revision. The field is broken into four flights based on course handicaps: Hogan (8 to 10), Nicklaus (11 to 13), Palmer (14 to 17), and Woods (18 and higher).
After day one, Zibby Puleio leads the Hogan flight with 79. Mark Boivin had the best score in the opening round, opening with 74 to lead the Nicklaus flight. In the Palmer flight, Stephen Dixon leads with 82. Lastly, Scott Cochrane leads the Woods flight after firing an opening 87.
Tomorrow's final round features some close flights in what should be an exciting conclusion to this year's championship. Play commences at 7:30 am tomorrow morning.
