Create a New User Profile and Join an MSGA Player Program

Mar 5, 2018

With grass starting to show its face in some corners of the state and Daylight Saving’s Time extending the evening hours next week, it’s time to start thinking spring and the upcoming golf season. At the MSGA we’ve been doing a lot behind the scenes to get ready for the 2018 season. In addition to all of the exciting changes that are in place with the merger with the women’s associations, we’ve also been transitioning from our old tournament software to USGA Tournament Management powered by Golf Genius for all of our 2018 events.

Now that we’ve merged with the women’s associations and will be serving all golfers in the state of Maine, we’re starting fresh with our master list of players this year in our system. This means that all MSGA competitors will be required to create a new user account prior to registering to play in their first event. The process is easy and only takes a few minutes. This is the best way to ensure that we have all of the most up-to-date information going into the new season.

Players are strongly encouraged to use the online system for registration for the 2018 season, though paper applications will still be accepted for those who wish to print out a form and mail it in.

Click the icon above to fill out all of your information and be added to our new Master Roster. Note that this is just to get you into our system and this does not make you eligible to play in MSGA events. If this is your first time here and you haven't yet created a new user account, choose the red button at bottom on the next page titled "Click Here to Register."

Click the icon above to join an MSGA Member Program and apply payment to be eligible to play in MSGA events. Whether you're a man, woman, or junior golfer, we have events throughout the season to get you playing at golf courses all around the state.  Cost is $30 for adults and only $10 for juniors aged 18 and younger.

Online registration for MSGA Championship events opens on March 15 at 10:00 am. To get into those championships, players must have created a new user account AND enrolled in the appropriate Player Program ahead of time.

Requests for tee times for Men’s Weekly, Mid-Week and Senior events will be the same as in years past, where team captains can fill out the appropriate forms to request starting times throughout the season. Those forms will be available on the MSGA website on March 15, and must be submitted before April 1.

Registration for regular Tuesday MSGA Women’s Events will be a melded process of the registration systems used previously by the WMSGA and SMWGA. A registration window of six days will be opened on Monday (6 AM) approximately three weeks before each tournament date. You may register online or by mail. More details will be provided as the season draws closer.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to get going with the 2018 season. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns regarding anything Maine golf. We are here to help!
