West Appleton CC Becomes Newest MSGA Member Club

Oct 23, 2017

The MSGA is pleased to announce West Appleton CC as our newest member club. The 9-hole facility in the town of Appleton, about 15 miles northeast of Camden/Rockport, becomes the 117th member club of the MSGA.

The MSGA provides services to well over a hundred member clubs and courses, both private and public, and more than 16,000 golfers. Membership in the MSGA means you are part of an organization that has been dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving the game of golf for a century. Services provided by the MSGA  include handicapping, tournament management programs, course rating and measurement, Rules of Golf education, and access for club members to compete in the MSGA's extensive tournament schedule.

The course is unique in that the 553 yard 4th hole doubles as a landing strip for small airplanes. There is a sign on the tee that states: “Stop – Airstrip Ahead – Watch for landing aircraft."
