Now hiring PJ Boatwright Interns for 2018 season

Jan 18, 2018

The MSGA is accepting applications for the PJ Boatwright internship, a program offered by the MSGA through the USGA. The intern's prime responsibilities will be helping the MSGA with program and tournament administration, especially with promotion of the junior golf program.

This is a paid position, and candidates must be available for the golf season, especially May through August. The ability to begin work earlier and stay on into the fall is a bonus.

Interns must have their own transportation to and from the MSGA office, and are expected to travel to tournament sites, although we strongly encourage staff carpooling on those days.

Like all MSGA tournament staff, interns will work long days when helping to conduct tournaments.

In addition to hands-on work at tournaments, interns will be trained in basic office tasks including cash handling and data entry. Familiarity with MS Excel will be helpful. The interns will learn to post content and help maintain the MSGA website. Strong communication skills are important.

Interested candidates should submit their resumes and letters of application to MSGA Executive Director Nancy Storey by email at No phone calls please. Deadline for application is March 1 or when suitable candidates are found.
