We at the Maine State Golf Association, Inc., are proud of our mission of promoting amateur golf in Maine. We do this through hosting tournaments, running a junior golf program and through golf education. We also are responsible for GHIN handicapping in Maine, and for course rating.

           An integral part of our mission has always been our Scholarship Fund. We continue to be a leader among non-profit corporations in Maine for our generosity to our students. Last year, we awarded more than $41,000 in grants to deserving young students from all over Maine. This commitment would not be possible without the help of our friends.

The single largest fundraiser for the Scholarship Fund is the Charlie’s Maine Open ProAm, held every year in June. In addition to the Pro Am, we also host two Scholarship Classic golf tournaments at prominent courses. We have combined sponsorship opportunities to give our major sponsors the opportunity to take advantage of some advertising as well as participating in these MSGA fundraising tournaments.
