Nancy, a 1979 graduate from Greely High School in Cumberland and a 1983 graduate from the University of Maine, has been the Executive Director of the MSGA since 1997. Hired on St. Patrick's Day, the Luck of the Irish has served her well in her tenure. While her passion is promoting golf -- especially junior golf -- basketball is her religion. In addition to her work at the MSGA, she coaches basketball at Greely Middle School and she officiated basketball for 20 years. She also serves on the Maine Sports Hall of Fame Board and the Cumberland Recreation Board, and is a member of the International Association of Golf Administrators, the Maine Golf Course Superintendents Association and various other professional organizations She has one son, Justin, a daughter-in-law, Katie, and her pride and joy is her grandson Lucas. She and her husband Charlie Sparrow enjoy golfing together, traveling, gardening and spending time with their HUGE family.
